How are we going to help?
OUR PLAN
TEACH
We would provide call, text, and email support for seniors reaching out with concerns about being scammed. This could be any kind of scam, from a spam call, to a email chain, to even a social media post. We would use safe avenues of communication so that our trained employees can help seniors identify if they are at risk of being scammed.
Our employees would be trained to identify common scam tactics, staying up to date on the latest trends scammers are following. These employees would also have tools to help them identify AI images and use to better spot scams in this schanging climate of scam tactics.
CONNECT
We would not end the call there, instead we would stay in contact with those who contact us to make sure they are still safe from online scams. This would be done with the consent of the person, and would happen through text, email, and phone calls depending on what the individual is comfortable with and needs.
PROVIDE
We would also provide in-person resources for those who need our help. This would be done through suggesting groups and programs available in Tillamook County to connect with others, young and old. Because at the end of the day, connection and real in person support is the most effective way to keep our elderly folks safe from scams.
